Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Has anyone overcome a sugar addiction and if so what methods do you use?

I can't help myself from taking 5 biscuits instead of one even though I know how bad it is for me.

Luckily, I am not huge, but that is all down to copious amounts of exercise. However, you can't out-run a bad diet and whilst I might look in reasonable shape, I am not as healthy as I might look.

There must be some good techniques people use to moderate, cut down and/or quit sugary foods?

Cheers, and look forward to my 6-pack in 8 weeks.

Seems to me that EVERY fucker is on a diet of some sorts nowadays.

Eat what you want when you want. Don't be a fucking greedy pig all day every day though.

Do a bit of exercise three times a week.

Cunts nowadays need a smartphone app to tell them the above.

Simple common sense.

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
And yes it is specific to you.
It’s YOUR height, weight, age and level of activity.
None of which equals 1500 calories.

goose 11:48 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
So you were exactly the same weight 13 years ago?? Course not.

Height, weight, level of activity are the main determining factors. The rest is minuscule like I said.

For the hundredth time, 14 stone and 1500 calories simply doesn’t add up no matter what the other factors.
It simply isn’t possible you div.

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Goose the formula is basic, it is not specific to me.

My Dr, told me 2090 calories 13 years ago when I was exercising regularly.

Since then I no longer exercise and I have targeted 1500 calories to keep my weight in check. I posted a diet as you and mom were implying that a 1500 calorie diet was a joke, when in fact it's pretty common. I have said all along it's a target diet I use midweek so I can enjoy my weekends.

You just proved my point in the 15% reduction that your calorie count is a generic bench mark that once adjusted can make a significant difference. To sit there as some omniscient prick lecturing me about my diet when all you have is a simplistic chart is laudable. Never mi d all the additional discounts that you have left out. Some might say that you are deliberately dodging the numbers high to win a silly argument.

Personally I think you at best are disengenouos and at worst are a simpleton.

I'll take the word of my Dr. And the words of the Dr.s who's articles I posted than your half baked explanation.

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
I love how you keep saying it’s my formula. It’s widely used in medical & sports professions. The results are sound maths that is backed by science. But yeh you keep telling the world it’s wrong.

Quite why I’m wasting my time on such a retard I’ll never know........

Yes, your so convincing Goose. You're really impressive.

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Wrong again.
I gave you two versions based on different levels of activity.

Do you notice how none of the numbers are anywhere close to 1500?
If you play around with the equation you’ll notice it doesn’t matter what you change, 14 stone and 6ft 1 gets nowhere near 1500 calories.

Am I’m the simpleton........ lol

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Fuck me you went from a 5% variance to a 15% variance in the blink of an eye, I wonder what other adjustments you have left out, knowingly and unknowingly?

You really are a simpleton.

goose 11:03 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
2600 is based on you being moderately active.
2200 on lightly active.

After your comments about your ‘muscle mass’ I gave you the former.
I’ve down graded you to be kind. Both versions are nowhere near 1500.

You really are stupid.

So what chart is accurate your 2600 or 2200 one?

Nutsin 10:53 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
I did note that you dropped the number from 2600 to 2200.

That's a 15% drop right there, quite a variance on guesses dont you think?

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Hahaha you’re so funny.
You mean the same generic chart the entire health system uses? You idiot.

I’m in amazing shape thanks for asking.
Enjoy your 1 boiled egg and half an avocado for dinner you drip.

Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
I went to my Dr when I was 40 for my check up, he recommended a high fiber diet at 2000 calories per dy when I was still exercising. This Dr. Knew way more about my health and well being than your generic chart.

All you have is a benchmark, you stick to your rigid chart and see where you are in 20 years, you will be one of the many fat cunts running around wondering what the fuck happened.

I'll keep doing what I'm doing it's working fine for me.

You and your chart are dead fucking wrong.

Here you go you

50 years old

Little or no exercise is x1.2 which is 2200.

Don’t bother replying unless it’s an admission of your stupidity.

Yeh Harris-Benedict formula is pulling numbers out of my arse you moron. I gave you some leeway for your excuses but you carry on making yourself look stupid.

Explain to be the (at best) 400 calorie magic your body performs every day.

I’ll wait.............

Nutsin 10:15 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Minuscule rubbish, you're giving 5% lol.

You're pulling numbers out of your ars. So much for exact science. Go on admit it. You and your numbers are nothing more than a ball park guess.

2600 calories ffs. I'd be 300 lb in a year, you're dead fucking wrong.

goose 9:49 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
I’m giving you a margin for error of 5%. All the minuscule rubbish you keeping c&p ing about gut bacteria & such like make the difference of single digit calories.

Not 400 which is what you are out by.

Last time I’m gonna say this before just writing you off as a complete retard........
A 14 stone man, no matter his age cannot eat 1500 calories a day and maintain 14 stone. You would lose weight at a fairly decent rate. To stay the same weight on those calories is scientifically impossible.

Nutsin 9:36 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Goose tell me how you adjust + or - 5% on your formula?

Where does 5% adjustment come from?
Is there a metric or is this just a number you pluck from the sky?

2600 calories per day is way too many for me, no wonder so many older men are over weight in the uk.
That's fucking mental.

goose 3:38 Thu Feb 20
Re: Quitting Sugar and Processed Foods - How to Stop being a Fat Bastard
Your daily BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is 1,896 Calories.

Factoring in your activity level, your body uses an estimated 2,607 Calories per day.

I popped you down as lightly active despite your talk of muscle mass (which would require more calories).
